The vessel Da Tang 18 spilled bunker fuel into the Long Beach harbor at Anchorage B-11 late Nov. 7, 2010. The vessel Da Tang 18 spilled bunker fuel into the Long Beach harbor at Anchorage B-11 late Nov. 7, 2010. An estimated 6,097 gallons discharged with an estimated 2,248 gallons recovered on deck, an estimated 2,382 gallons recovered from the water, an estimated 1,467 gallons lost to the environment and an estimated 3,859 gallons escaped from the ship.The U.S. Coast Guard and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife supervised the cleanup operations.
